Nighttime at Superior Shores Resort

Bonfire at SuperiorWe’re fully aware that you’re all headed up to the North Shore to visit Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse, and perhaps Tettegouche, Temperance River or Judge Magney State Park. That doesn’t mean, however, that nighttime here at Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors MN can’t be the highlight of your trip! We offer spectacular dining and late-night drinks at Kamloops Restaurant & Lounge. You can also gaze at the gorgeous Lake Superior skies at your private beach bonfire! Here are three fantastic nighttime activities for your next Superior Shores getaway.

Stargazing on Lake Superior

There are incredibly ingenious weather apps nowadays that can predict stargazing visibility, and if it’s a clear night in Two Harbors MN then you’re in luck! Stay in our Main Lodge and host a bonfire on the beach at Flood Bay. Not to be outdone, our luxurious Burlington Bay resort is also prime beach bonfire territory. Many guests specifically choose our resort because of the quintessential Northern Lights views on Flood Bay. An evening kayak or canoe ride on Lake Superior should be on the itinerary.

Beach Bonfires

It’s not often a resort allows beach bonfires, but Superior Shores gladly permits this great pastime. We have strategically-placed fire pits that we’d ask you to please use. Beach bonfires are allowed at both Burlington and Flood Bay. Remember to extinguish your fire before heading back to the lodge. There are about three quadrillion gallons of water at your disposal, so no excuses. A beach bonfire combined with stargazing, s’mores, roasted weenies, and Northcountry storytelling—now that’s Minnesotan!

Kamloops Restaurant & Lounge

Every evening at Superior Shores Resort in beautiful Two Harbors MN should start and end at Kamloops Restaurant & Lounge. Before heading to the beach for a night of stargazing and beach bonfire relaxation, grab a much-needed dinner at Kamloops. Try our bacon-wrapped meatloaf, buttery shrimp scampi, or monster 14-ounce ribeye. Kamloops has the area’s largest outdoor deck with breathtaking Lake Superior views! After your beach fun is over, head back up to the Kamloops Lounge, open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The lounge has a full bar and an extensive wine and tap beer list. We recommend a satisfying craft beer from Two Harbors’ very own Castle Danger Brewing! We often host live music and trivia during the summer months.

Cap every evening on your North Shore adventure with these splendid nighttime activities, all right here at Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors MN. Keep your ear to the ground, because we have monthly promotions and discounted stays at the best resort on the North Shore!
