Sled Dog Race

From January 28 – January 31, 2018, you won’t want to miss out on the longest sled dog race in the lower 48, the John Beargrease Sled Dog Race! This fantastic competition is almost 400 miles stretching from Duluth to the Minnesota-Ontario border and back again. Traveling along the North Shore, you’ll find this event is one fit for the whole family. With world-class mushers, this qualifying race for the Iditarod is genuinely one you’ll want to see. When you head down to the day’s events, you can meet and greet some of the mushers and their sled dogs. Frolic in the Winter

On February 9-10, 2018 you’ll want to get up early and head straight to the Two Harbors Winter Frolic! Located right here in town at the Two Harbors Curling Club, this wintertime event is also great for families. Featuring activities like curling, a chili cook-off, a sledding hill, and live music, you’ll be able to see why we embrace the cold when the snow coats the ground!
